Roman Villa at Chedworth - one of many in the area around Corinium (but one of the few that were found)
Note the depiction of Winter with a hooded cloak - the "Birrus Britannicus", a cloak for men that was also popular with women and children.

spectacular mosaics - from a mosaic craftsmaster in Corinium - and hypocaust heating in pretty much the entire house
A friend whose brother used to work with the Corinium Museum in Cirencester says that one of the mosaics has a part missing because someone buried their dog there. (Not sure if that was in Cirencester itself or here at the villa.)

Note the columns of the hypocaust floor - in Bath there were "towers" of flat bricks.

The mosaic workshop wasn't reserved for kids, and it is an interesting experience that leaves you with a lot of respect for the mosaic craftsmen of the time.
