Holidays in south-west England August 08 to 22, 2009 |

We started in St-Ives but couldn't find a short-term parking lot, so we didn't stay. The cows are somewhere between St-Ives and St-Just, it was so foggy that you couldn't even see the sea when you were on the coastal road. The church I believe is in St-Just (where tin used to be mined, hence the name of the famous pewter jewellery).

I can't help it, I prefer la Pointe du Raz...
On our way up to the Minack Theatre, there was a long queue of people trying to park their cars (even at the theatre, which is why they charge a high parking fee that is deducted from your entrance fee) to go to the beach. We thought that given the run of people, the beach looked fairly empty (and very beautiful). Until we advanced a bit further...

It looks like a bad copy of the Mont St-Michel across the Channel, and once the castle or whatever it is closes, there's nothing else to see here. And at high tide you can't walk over, I understand. Sorry, once again, I prefer the Brittany version...
