This is about the first documented strike (I'll get back to it later).
There's an entire room dedicated to the items from the grave of the architect Kha and his wife. (All the other graves at the site had been robbed.)
a board game - a cake - pitches or amphoras (one ahndle = beer, two handles = wine)
lots of different kinds of food they were provided with in the grave
monogrammed underwear (so the architect's wouldn't be confused with a labourer's underwear during washing)
second tour of the exhibits without the guide
of course I had to check out the cows again
More cows! In the section of mummified pets!
So here we are back to the first documented strike - apparently the workers were paid late, or not enough, or both.
Back to the underwear and the boxes where they were stored (in the grave at least)
lots of graffiti on the walls in Torino, but this one made me smile (meloni = melons, angurie = watermelons, Georgia Meloni = Italy's prime minister)
